Books for the people.
The Book Ship Project was born of a book hoarding problem I developed as a kid and never could kick. I have books stacked, shelved, and towered all over my apartment. But then I moved four times in less than a year. Boxing them up, carrying them up stairs, sorting them over and over again made me start feeling the negative feelings. Not to mention how many of my friends threatened to never help me move again.
I tried to think of a way to both keep all my books, which mean everything to me, and not keep them. And this is what I came up with. Sharing my books with people that want to read them and in the process, building a network of engaged readers bonding over a love of stories. So I cataloged all the titles in my library, stamped them, and sent them out into the world.
What happens next is up to you.
